The Marjorie Bash Department of Basic Nursing provides our students with comprehensive education and training in the foundational principles of nursing practice. Through innovative curriculum, hands-on learning experiences, and dedicated faculty guidance, we prepare students for successful careers in the nursing profession.
Our Basic Nursing Program is a four-year eight-semester program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). The program qualifies students for the award of Diploma in General Nursing (Registered Nurse)and license to practice anywhere in Nigeria by The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Our Nursing students participate in hands-on learning experiences to reinforce theoretical knowledge and develop clinical skills. Our innovative simulation labs provide a safe environment for students to practice nursing procedures and patient care techniques before entering clinical settings.
Our curriculum is designed to meet the highest standards of nursing education and is continuously updated to reflect the latest evidence-based practices in healthcare.

SSCE/UTME
Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.
National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) is accepted and stands on its own with credits in at five (5) subjects i.e Physics,Chemistry, Biology, English Language, and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings.
The College shall conduct written examinations and oral interviews for applicants as the basis for admission.
